About

Production Designer · Art Director
Give me a script and a corner of a warehouse, and I'll give you somewhere real.

I started the way a lot of makers do: with my hands. At fourteen I set up a stand on a street corner in Hyannis drawing characters for tourists, four hundred dollars, cash, the first night. I've been finding ways to get paid for making things ever since.

Murals, sculpture, a prop shop for big events, engraved trophies, even church organs, I picked up a trade everywhere I landed. When the film industry finally came to New England, I stepped onto an indie as production designer and realized twenty-odd years of side jobs had quietly become one very specific skill set.

These days it's commercials for the bread and butter and features when something special comes calling, Super Troopers 3 last summer, years of world-building for Hasbro before that. My work runs more fabricated and hands-on than celebrity-driven: part designer, part problem-solver, the one who can make the giant, lightweight, impossible thing sit convincingly in frame.

I work out of a barn studio on a twenty-acre farm in Western Massachusetts, and travel to wherever the production is.

something.

Commercial, feature, or something in between, tell me what you're making and I'll tell you how I'd build it.
